Cries and Whispers
Nagyvárad Dance Ensemble
Ingmar Bergman's Cries and Whispers explores the depths of death and family relationships, following the tragic lives of three sisters and a servant. Adapted into a physical dance-theatre performance, it seeks to explore whether we suffer the most in our lives and are redeemed in the afterlife, or whether earthly existence is a kind of paradise and death is followed by punishment for our actions. Is it possible to avoid eternal torment or will it come to us all sooner or later?
