Szigligeti Research
The Infinite Dance Festival offers an insight into the details of a research project in the lobby of the theatre. Until the end of last year, it was possible to fill in the Szigliget Theatre's questionnaire. The questionnaire was wide-ranging, as the questions were not only about theatre-going but also about other cultural preferences, and anyone could answer them. Thus, the opinions of people who do not otherwise go to the theatre are also taken into account. The aim is therefore to get a profile of the potential audience, including, among other things, the age and gender of the respondent, their income and the other activities they choose to do instead of going to the theatre. In addition to this, the survey will also reveal which shows current theatre-goers have enjoyed the most in recent seasons. The results of the survey will be evaluated by a professional committee consisting of Dr. János Szabolcs, philologist, lecturer at the Partium Christian University, Dr. Zsuzsa Plainer, cultural anthropologist, staff member of the National Institute for Minority Research, and Dr. Ágnes Sántha, sociologist, lecturer at Sapientia EMTE. The experts will aggregate the results according to strict scientific criteria, and thanks to them we will be able to interpret the feedback from the public in a more complete and detailed way.
